2023 Annual Meeting
FOLH Annual Meeting will be held on Saturday, June 10, 2023 at the VFW in Jenkins at 9:00 AM . Coffee and donuts will be served. Our guest speaker will be Ray Nelson, local historian and retired Manager of the Corps of Engineers dam in Crosslake. Ray will share research of a very architecturally rare and unique relic gunstock found along Lower Hay Lake’s shoreline in 1934. Research indicates it may be Minnesota’s Oldest Rifle Artifact! 2023 Boat Parade/Dock Decor
The 6th annual Lower Hay Lake Boat Parade/Decorate Your Dock event will be held on Tuesday, July 4th at 4:00 pm! The format will be the same as past years. Start lining up by the DNR boat launch area at 3:40 pm. We encourage you to float along in the parade with any water craft of your choosing (providing it can keep up with the rest of the parade boats) or decorate your dock and cheer on the boats as they go by. There is no registration necessary. Prizes will be given for both categories. If you have any questions or would like to volunteer to judge either category, please contact Debbie Enger - enger77@aol.com.
The 2022 4th of July boat parade was a success despite the rainy weather and downpour at the end!
2023 Snarky Loon Happy Hour
Please join other FOLH members for Happy Hour on Sunday, August 27, 2023 at 4:00 pm at the Snarky Loon in Jenkins. Appetizers provided by FOLH. It will be individual tabs for drinks, so stop for a beverage and stay to connect with Lower Hay Lake neighbors and share some of your favorite moments of summer 2023! We hope to see you there!
